Investigative journalist Simon Parry has written an explosive article – cataloguing the cruelty and systematic destruction of greyhounds at Macau’s dog track.

During the lengthy investigation – Simon witnesses the dismal existence greyhounds are confined to during their short term of usefulness and talks to Dr Choi who has sole responsibility for the destruction of greyhounds once they can no longer perform for the betting industry.

Interviews with Animal Asia’s British based Welfare Director David Neale and PETA’s Rebecca Chiu – offer professional opinions of how greyhounds – if introduced to mainland China – would at best be euthansed and at worst endure a torturous death because they would still hold commercial value for the dog fur industry and meat markets as soon as they were deemed to slow to race..
